INTUITION IMPROVES YOUR SENSE OF REASONING

To what extent do you have faith in you? If you wanted to give percentages to it, what way would it flow; upwards or downwards?
A popular saying says-"Aim for the moon, even if you miss at least you'll still land among the stars". We have all heard this motivational quote, and as most motivational quotes it is usually quickly forgotten.

Intuition and believe have a role they play for each other. Intuition is knowledge or belief which is not obtained by reason nor by perception. It is an act or faculty of knowing or sensing without the use of our rational processes. When intuition is mentioned some individuals attach a volume of spirituality to it, while others just say instincts direct them to make certain decisions and deep inside of them one sign or feeling or the other will make them know if the decision they have made will yield positive results or negative ones. Every human being has their belief, principle or faith [so to say] that serves as a platform which helps shape their reasoning, understanding, and decision making.
Decision making is no gift neither does it necessarily come naturally to everyone ; after all, we live in a world where it’s easy to get someone else to make them for us. When we make decisions based on intuition, we trust our feelings, and when this happens for the first time, it’s like a turning point from that moment on, our confidence builds and we don’t look back!
Havard of Courageous Mind says- The way we think about our goals and efforts greatly affect the outcomes we experience. If all we imagine and plan for are mediocre and dull goals we will never rise our sights and aim higher. Even if we manage to reach all the goals we have set, we will not be excelling if we never had the courage to set lofty goals. In order to achieve something great, we can't be afraid of dreaming big and having high expectations for ourselves.
People don't give themselves enough credit. The immediate internal response to big goals is often to think of reasons why we can't achieve them. The default response from our surroundings when we think of something amazing is to be realistic, to keep your head down and not set yourself up for disappointment. This social conditioning rubs off on us and makes us think in the same way. How many of us walk around telling ourselves that we can't be a #1 best selling author, an influential politician, a successful entrepreneur? What is stopping us? One thing is for certain, achieving great things does not just happen by accident. It takes dedicated effort and serious amounts of trail and error. If you constantly tell yourself that something can't be done, you guarantee that it will never happen. Belief in yourself is the fundamental building block in any form of success. Believing in yourself is important, but it is also important to know that self belief can be learned. Just like all the nagging instances of self doubt are learned behavior, so we can learn self belief. There are plenty of life coaches and self help gurus that would love to teach you to believe in yourself, but the only teacher you really need is yourself. If you find yourself constantly sabotaging your own progress by procrastination or making excuses it might be a sign that you would benefit from working on your belief in yourself.
The best way to develop yourself belief is to hire yourself as your own life coach. Make it your job to give yourself positive backing. Make every effort to turn your self dialogue positive. A positive self dialogue doesn't mean that you should start fooling yourself and try to gloss over challenges and failures. It simply means looking for the positives in everything you go over in your mind. The opportunities you have, the skills you have mastered, the outcomes you will achieve. One helpful tip for improving your inner dialogue is to imagine that you are talking to someone else. Most of us would never dream of heaping the kind of negativity we put on ourselves on another person. To build strong self belief you have to extend the same respect to yourself as you would to those who are close to you. When people tell you about their ideas, achievements or failures, always respond in a supporting way. Point out the things they are good at, back them up and encourage them to achieve their goals. Offer your help when you can. Meeting other people with positivity and a helping hand will make you feel good about yourself and it will actually help you succeed in your own endeavors. Being supportive is just the right thing to do. So extend this way of thinking to yourself. When you come up with a plan or goal or dream don't shoot it down. Never tell yourself 'I probably wouldn't be able to do that' or 'That would be fun, but so many other people could do it better'. Always respond to yourself with supportive and positive thoughts. Think things like 'I know this project will be awesome' and 'I have really gotten a lot better at this since I last tried it'. For some reason, most people are not supportive of themselves. People tend to focus on negative thinking and self deprecating thoughts. It can be a hard pattern to break out of. If you are used to always resorting to negative thinking it can be a powerful mental habit to break. On top of this we are conditioned that being modest and self defeating is 'proper' and being full of yourself or cocky is bad. But thinking positive things about yourself doesn't mean you have to be a self-glorifying person. It just means you focus on the things that are good about you. Break out of self defeating thoughts by increasing your mental awareness. Pay attention to your own thoughts. When you notice yourself getting down on yourself, stop it. Break your chain of thoughts and focus on something positive about yourself. You can even prepare a list of things that you like about yourself so you have positive thoughts at the ready when they are needed. The more you pay attention to your own inner thoughts, the easier it will get and the easier it will be to replace negative destructive thoughts with positive constructive ones.
We should act upon these feelings that points us to the right direction, listening to our inner guidance is important, no matter how hardened or stubborn a person can be there is always that inner voice offering and giving positive options, it only depends on how strong an individual has trained his mind and body, does he always allows his body win over the mind or the opposite, whatever the case may be, overtime the result of the question mentioned above will form that individuals decision making[no wonder some people say “I don’t even trust myself”], one will discover that such people do not have a strong decision making prowess as it relates to their will, they say one thing and they end up doing the other.
As trivial as this might sound it poses as a big stumbling block for many individuals out there, no matter how hard they try no success is made. Procrastination is another silent slayer of being a good decision maker asides not being a sound listener to your inner guidance. Not accepting to do a particular thing at a more ideal time will end up being done under pressure, and then 9 out of 10 times might turn out in a bad shape, the thought of what needs to be accomplished keeps popping up in our heads once in a while and as human we wave them off promising ourselves we would remember later [saying “I just remembered now, I will remember again”, we are not robots but humans. We need ample time to think out issues in other to pick the best of the gathered thoughts]. Doing things when they need to be done will reduce the chances of bringing ill returns and pave ways for better decision making.  This is a technique often taken for granted. An average Nigerian has a bad culture when it comes to decision making, jobs, meetings, events planning, seminars, workshops, examinations etc. Which are often done at the dying minute and under strong pressure, this shows how serious this issue shouldn't be taken as trivia.
Learn to trust your instinct in decision making, it is not so easy especially when fear of failing is stronger than the enthusiasm to succeed. It’s scary to listen to your intuition especially when your reasoning is dragging you the opposite direction and fear holds you prisoner as you let it. Borrowing the words of John Holland in his book Psychic Navigator, he said “Remember that your intuition isn’t meant to replace reason; instead, it’s meant to enhance your reasoning, thereby giving you a far better chance to succeed. He shared how to listen to signals that your body tells you when you’re following your intuition, and how to interpret your own feelings when making some type of decisions. For example, some people feel a flutter when something feels wrong; others feel a tingling sensation all over if they’re on the right path; while still others feel nothing when they’re not supposed to move ahead. Our psychic abilities are part and parcel of us, it is all about knowing and interpreting the information within your reach, all your decisions can turn out positive if guidance is sort for.  Avoid turning over your power to someone else when it comes to making decisions. With practice, you’ll learn how to interpret your own specific signs. Beginning with small decisions and choices will aid one to build up their trust and confidence gradually.
Just as John Holland will have its said “Have faith in your inner guidance, which is always there and waiting for you to ask it for help”, it wants nothing more than the best for you. Good luck!
